The EPU-G, featuring a newly designed 4-quadrant internal gear pump and a high dynamic servomotor, is engineered for applications requiring flow rates between 20 to 85 lpm and pressure levels up to 345 bar. This advanced electrohydrostatic pump unit allows for direct control through pump speed, making it ideal for self-contained hydrostatic transmissions. It is capable of building maximum pressure at both pump ports, offering enhanced flexibility and performance. The EPU-G will be available in sizes 5, 8, 13, and 20 cm³, adding smaller pump volumes to Moog's existing EPU product range, which currently spans from 19 to 250 cm³.

The EPU-G’s variable speed and power-on-demand operation contribute to reduced noise emissions at partial load, leading to a significant reduction in energy consumption and operating costs. With its high dynamics, low inertia, and minimal pulsation, the EPU-G improves overall machine performance. The compact axial manifold interface allows for a direct manifold connection, eliminating the need for additional piping. This enhances system stiffness, reduces the actuator footprint, simplifies machine design, and shortens setup and maintenance times. Additionally, the actuation system based on the EPU-G reduces oil volume by up to 90%, supporting more sustainable and environmentally friendly operations.
